Describe what was easy/useful for yourself as a teacher in preparing the lesson Making the video guides is very easy. You need to first download the screencastomatic programme to your computer or an app “Screencast” to your tablet/phone and then try it out. You can directly upload the videos to youtube when you do it in the computer.
Describe what was difficult in preparing the lesson You need to figure out where to upload the videos so that the students can access them. I uploaded in youtube and then added the link to the class blog
Describe what went well from your (as a teacher) perspective Most of the students followed the guides and managed to do the task well
Describe what was difficult/what didn’t go so well from your perspective? As it was the first time I used the video guides then there were still 2 students who needed extra explanation as they were not used to looking at the video and following it.
What were the benefits for students? Think about students’ motivation, responsibility, interest etc based on student surveys, observations They could follow their own pace and see the video more than 1 time.
What was difficult of using the method from the students’ perspective? As every new method, it takes some time/experience to get used to
