Description of the method/lesson (what was done before the lesson, during the lesson, after lesson – lesson plan)
  1. The teacher made animated video with necessary concepts and pictures/diagrams
  2. Teacher records the video using the site PowToon.
  3. The students look at the video at home and write down the main information and questions what they have (the video link is added in their e-platform site Stuudium)
  4. In the next lesson teacher asks the students to answer the questions based on the material they learnt at home (can use their own notes)
Links to the materials
Describe what was easy/useful for yourself as a teacher in preparing the lesson If you previously have all the material already written down (notes), then it’s easier and faster.
Describe what was difficult in preparing the lesson If you use this site for the first time it takes a lot of time to understand the program and make a slideshow/animation. You need to figure out where to upload the videos so that the students can access them. I uploaded in youtube and then added the link to Stuudium

(electronical system used in Estonia),

Describe what went well from your (as a teacher) perspective If you have the material ready and uploaded, then showing it in the classroom is not difficult
Describe what was difficult/what didn’t go so well from your perspective? Need to think where can the students reach the material at home.
What were the benefits for students? Think about students’ motivation, responsibility, interest etc based on student surveys, observations The students could watch the material at home with the time it takes them (they can pause and nobody has to wait for them). It’s not so stressful for the slower readers. They can have the time they want and even watch several times to understand everything completely.
What was difficult of using the method from the students’ perspective? They need to be concentrated to work to get all the information what they need.
